Werner Herzog

Listed below is the complete filmography of Werner Herzog, my favourite living director, whose prolific output of documentaries and features film numbers over 50 in total. I own all three of his UK boxsets - Herzog Kinski, Werner Herzog Collection & Encounters in the Natural World - totalling 16 out of the 56 films that comprise Herzog's output to date. To my surprise, many of the films not covered by the boxsets are available freely online (mainly YouTube), though some come with Italian or dodgy English subtitles. Below is the result of several hours work tracking down the links online. Ideally, many of these films, especially the documentaries, will be released in a proper boxset, but in the meantime I plan to work through the films in chronological order and attain some kind of Herzogian zen of ecstatic truth brought about by performing animals and stunning natural scenes synced with classical or obscure ethnic music:
