So here goes my first attempt at blogging, a chance to aereate the brain, recapture the Adrian Mole-like tendencies of my youth and carve out my own niche in the burgeoning blogosphere. Expect investigative journalism and mundane chitchat, incisive essays on history, books, films and philosophy and hopeless tales of drunkenness, all the feint roar of a man approaching 30.
